About Me

While attending James Madison University, I stumbled upon a well-known photographer, Chris Burkard.  His images that he captures are just astounding and he is the one that sparked my interest in photography.  I started off with a GoPro to help capture images of the water (there is something special spending a sunrise in the water).  My wife and I share a love for the salty air, and I wanted to capture all of the beauty the Outer Banks in North Carolina has to offer us.  This interest in cameras continued to grow and that is when my brother-in-law asked if I could video his wedding in 2018.  Fast forward a few years later and I have been able to capture weddings and event all around Virginia and North Carolina.

I am currently a Health/PE teacher at a local junior high school where I teach 9th grade.  My wife is also a teacher.  She teaches at the 5th grade level (kudos to her!).  Both my wife and I have a strong desire for the Lord which has led us to our home church, Hope Point.  Hope Point has led to new relationships and ultimately to more opportunities to film and shoot.  I have been fortunate enough to have done recap videos for multiple events there such as, youth events/retreats, She nights, holiday events, and more.

My original passion for photography started with the ocean and I continue to pursue this every time we are in the Outer Banks.  You'll never catch me at the beach without my equipment.  I cannot pass up a good sunrise or sunset in the ocean.
